This question was sent to me via email about the lite cream cheese not being a non dairy one and it was expressed that it was OK to use just as ricotta cheese is OK. I personally haven’t found a non dairy cream cheese in the stores that I have looked in but then I stopped my search once it was said it was OK.

I did look at the dietripoff website this morning just to double check and yes it does say non-dairy. I know that since the printing of the book there have been a lot of revisions made on different foods and maybe this was one of them, like the peanut butter and onions and tomatoes. If i’m wrong I stand corrected. If you feel more comfortable use the nondairy until you have crossed over into week 2. I also checked the book for week 2 foods and it does not include it or change it or add it. Some things are in a gray area like you can’t have milk in phase one but you can have dairy cheese.
